Vicki liviakis is tracking the impact of the outage. pam but first kron4s Charles Clifford joins us live with what we know tonight about the cause pam grant the good news tonight is that pg e says that all power has been restored here in San Francisco and even though this outage was almost city wide, there were apparently no major injuries or accidents. According to pg e, around 919 friday morning there was fire at the larken street substation in San Francisco. The fire appears to have been started when a Circuit Breaker failed. Sotin all, 88 thousand customers in the northern and central parts of San Francisco lost power. 21 schools lost power, 300 Traffic Signals went dark, and muni and bart experienced Power Outages at the montgomery station. Several hospitals also lost power but were able to keep the lights on using backup generators. Sot when it became obvious that the problem city wide problem, city officials activated the Emergency Operations center on turk street. The fire depa
45 year old Richard James wasso is in county jail tonight. A minor says wasson molested her and then tried to kill her. Some people we talked to recognized him. Johnny santos resident hes a local that hangs out in front of the market once in a while, tells everybody to get to work when he sees them. Thank god the police did their job. I mean that guy doesnt belong out here. They also said wasson is part of a larger issue in Bethel Island. That the small town of only a few thousand people has a disproprtionate amount of sex offenders. Our search revealed at least 15 sex offenders on the island. Kelly burns resident the county sends the child molesters out to Bethel Island and im not sure why. Its very isolated and theres a lot of drug use out here and they get more into drugs. From oakland, christian . Yes. The wind, the rain, picking up. Bad news for People Living here in the east bay hills, we saw a lot of downed trees today in this area. And it went thud and the house shook. Wind and rain in the Oakland Hills this morning yankeesed the large pine from the house to its roots and sent it crashing off to the driveway and part of her house. Rushed. Rushed all over the place because the tree was laying there. Hi had to climb over all of the brush to get out. It snapped trees. Floodwaters snapped down three lanes of highway 101 causing a messy traffic jam. Back in Oakland Hills, they are still without power tonight. She says she feels lucky. I am thankful it did not and through the house and that i was okay. Reporter at the moment that rain has let us. As i said there is are still wind gusts coming through.
