Cumbria Constabulary currently operates twelve CCTV Cameras in the area. All but two cameras are located within the town centre while two others are located outside of the town centre on Egerton Court. The cameras in the court went live in February 2020 and had been funded by BAE systems as well as the South Crime Safety Partnership. The cameras were installed facing the entrance and the opposite side of Egerton Court and provided coverage of the area. These cameras are monitored by Cumbria police at all times and are an additional resource in their long-term fight against crime, particularly anti-social behaviour, and drugs.
