Northcote Tavern Coming in hot is the Northcote Tavern, earning top marks for its acres of grass – enough that gaggles of kids can cluster at one end kicking a ball around without interrupting their parents’ drinking time. Great news for those who live city-side: Northcote Point wharf is due to reopen on January 25, meaning you can nip across on your Hop card and not have to rock-paper-scissors for designated driver.
Points for: Proper grass, none of that astroturf stuff.
Points against: The garden to table ration means you might be sitting on grass if you don’t get there early enough.
