NORWOOD – Norwood-Norfolk Central School will be closed Wednesday, March 3, out of respect for first grade teacher Mandy Boyd who died Feb. 25.
Superintendent Jamie Cruickshank made the announcement in a letter to the community. She had previously taught in St. Regis Falls, at Hermon-DeKalb Central School, and at Upstate, Barre Hill and Franklin correctional facilities.
There will be no in-person or remote lessons offered at Norwood-Norfolk on Wednesday and no transporting for CTE or Special Education. CSE meetings scheduled for this day will be potentially rescheduled on Thursday.
The food distribution, blood drive, instructional materials pickup, interscholastic athletics and Late Afternoon Extended Day Tutoring will still proceed as scheduled.
