The casualty, thought to be a pedestrian in his 30s or 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Linden Place, between Baron Grove and Mitcham Park, at around 8.11am. Police have since confirmed a suspect has been arrested in relation to the incident. Eyewitnesses told the Wimbledon Times that they saw a scaffolding lorry at the scene. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said on Monday: “We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer to the scene.
