The Barnstable Licensing Authority on Dec. 30 conditionally approved the liquor license renewals for four Hyannis businesses: the Blue Moon at 430 Main St., Ying’s Sushi Bar and Lounge at 59 Center St., emBargo at 453 Main St. and the Karibbean Lounge at 662 Main St.
Licensing Director Richard Scali said the town’s new permitting software does not accommodate partial payments, an option the department used to honor in the past that gave business owners the choice of paying half of the liquor licensing fees in January and half in June. During the pandemic, the annual cost ranges between $1,950 and $3,000.
