Nominations sought for Gouverneur Hospital s DAISY Foundation Award

Sunday, July 4, 2021 - 5:59 pm GOUVERNEUR – Was there a Gouverneur Hospital nurse who took exceptional care of you or a loved one during 2021 whom you would like to recognize? Nominate them for the annual DAISY Foundation Award.  The nurse you are thinking about may have been part of your or a family member’s health care team during a hospital stay, or taken that extra time to assist you during an office visit. We know how important a nurse’s compassion and expertise are, and this award grants you the opportunity to say “thank you.”  The DAISY Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Pat’s family experienced first-hand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding compassionate care. The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.
