(Enterprise photo â Aaron Cerbone) TUPPER LAKE The Wild Center will reopen today after its annual month-long closure for spring cleaning. The nature-based science center in Tupper Lake will be outdoor-only for now. Open elements include the Wild Walk, the Forest Music experience and hiking trails across the 115-acre campus. The indoor portion (restrooms excepted) remains temporarily closed, including the theater, gift shop and cafe. Wild Center naturalists will hold live animal encounters and drop-in educational programs throughout the day in spots around the outdoor campus. TUPPER LAKE â The Wild Center, at 45 Museum Drive, reopens today after a monthlong closure for spring cleaning. As a continued commitment to the health and safety of visitors, staff and the wider community, the nature-based science center will operate as an outdoor-only experience for now. In addition, it will maintain enhanced operational procedures and cleaning protocols including timed ticket reservations, limited capacity and the use of face coverings.
The Wild Center will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the center wil be open seven days a week. Timed reservations, which may be made online, by phone or email prior to arrival, give guests access to the award-winning Wild Walk, immersive Forest Music experience and hiking trails across the 115-acre campus.
