Cornwall Council has ordered the closure as part of Redruth to Helston Safety Scheme. It will prevent people from driving the main road from early evening and overnight. The affected route includes Bucketts Hill, Buller Hill, Penventon, Four Lanes, Church Road, Pencoys, Forest, Nine Maidens, Carthew, Burras, B3297 Between Farms Common And Boquio, Crelly, Trenear, Wendron, and Redruth Road in Redruth The reasoning behind the closure is to install road safety measures including road marking removal, new road markings and high friction surfacing. The order comes into place tonight (March 15) and will continue every weekday between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
