4.3 quake 12 Feb 7:31 am (GMT +5)
the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 4.3 quake in Pakistan near Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ghāzi Khān, Punjab, 34 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Friday 12 February 2021 at 7:31 am local time at an intermediate to considerable depth of 290 km. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Barkhan (pop. 8,800, 28 km away), Kohlu (pop. 11,100, 49 km away), Dajal (pop. 17,600, 89 km away), Dera Ghazi Khan (pop. 236,100, 91 km away), and Jampur (pop. 63,800, 100 km away), the quake was probably not felt.

A young man was violently attacked and his head, eyebrows, moustache and beard shaved on allegations of theft in Balochistan s Barkhan on January 18.
Four men have been taken into custody since then by the Levies, Barkhan Deputy Commissioner Qurban Ali Magsi said.
The victim, identified as Sardar Khan, was accused of stealing a motorbike and was caught by a mob who beat him up, shaved his head, eyebrows and beard and blackened his face. They then posted pictures and videos of him on social media.
