Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd. (TSXV: OMM) ("Omineca" or the "Company") has approved the grant of 400,000 stock options pursuant to the Company's Stock Option Plan. All the options were granted to consultants retained by the Company. The options are exercisable at $0.25 per share and, if not exercised, expire May 31, 2026, subject to earlier expiration in accordance with the Stock Option Plan and the applicable policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Mr. Ireland previously held the positions of Mine Safety Superintendent of Hart Gold (ON), Manager of HR, Safety, Training and Environment for Claude Resources (SK) and HSE Manager for SNC Lavalin. Mr. Ireland brings extensive experience in Mine Safety, having began working underground in 2003 and transitioning into a Safety Manager and Mine Rescue Instructor role. Gold stolen from home along Barkerville Highway

There was an unusual theft in the North Cariboo over the weekend.
Quesnel RCMP Sergeant Richard Weseen goes over a few of the details…
“On Sunday morning the Quesnel RCMP responded to a residential break and enter that occurred on the Barkerville Highway where a large quantity of gold was stolen from the residence.”
According to the Cariboo Mining Association Facebook page, one ounce wafers and five ounce bars were taken along with one ounce Maple Leaf coins.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP.
Pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle on Interior highway
Police are investigating following the death of a woman on the Barkerville Highway this week.
According to Quesnel RCMP, the road was shut down for several hours on Tuesday while police investigated a motor vehicle incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The incident, occurred shortly after 7 pm when a privately-owned sand truck was driving east on the road.
It then struck a pedestrian who was walking eastbound near Drummond Road. the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of the accident, the roads were wet due to light rain and there was no artificial lighting, said Sgt. Richard Weseen. Witnesses reported that they had to swerve to avoid the female just prior to the collision.
