Budging considerably in its stance, the BNP last night said it may hold the December 10 rally either at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital’s Kamalapur or on the Government Bangla College premises in Mirpur.
The meeting is happening in the wake of uncertainty over BNP's planned December 10 rally in Dhaka, following BNP men's clash with police in front of the party's Nayapaltan headquarters yesterday.
BNP has proposed the Kamalapur stadium for its December 10 rally in Dhaka, while DMP gave the alternative of Mirpur Bangla College field, said BNP's Vice-Chairman Barkatullah Bulu.
A BNP delegation led by the party's Vice Chairman Barkatullah Bulu will meet Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun today at the police headquarters to discuss the December 10 rally and the recent arrests of party men.
