LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A judge today granted a Burbank bar and grill a speedy hearing on its bid to lift a preliminary injunction previously imposed on the business, which offered outdoor dining when it was banned in Los Angeles County during the height of the coronavirus pandemic and then repeatedly defied orders to close.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff issued the preliminary injunction and $1,150 in sanctions against Barfly Inc., the operating company for the Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill on Magnolia Boulevard, on April 9. This morning, he advanced the hearing on whether to cancel the injunction from July 15 to May 28.

The owner of Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill on Magnolia Boulevard in San Fernando Valley of Southern California has, in fact, already been arrested by police thrice for Covid protocol violations. He is also accused of removing the sandbags that the city put up around the periphery of.

Authorities in Burbank, California, have taken drastic measures against a restaurant that allegedly continues to violate COVID safety measures.
Burbank, a suburb of Los Angeles, erected a chain-link fence around Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill to prevent customers from entering the restaurant, according to local reports.
The owner’s 20-year-old son, Lucas Lepejian, has been arrested at least three times in six days for COVID protocol violations, and most recently was accused of removing sandbags that were put up along the property by the city to prevent it from reopening, the Independent said. Lepejian has since been released.
