OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) – Small businesses can make big differences, and an Owego eatery has proven how true that statement can be.
The Owego Kitchen’s had its share of Covid-19 adjustment difficulties. Owner Julie Lovelass and her team have been serving the community for the last five years.
And as times got tough, The Owego Kitchen did more than get by – they gave back.
A soup kitchen set up on the restaurant’s back porch served over 10,000 meals. And in August, they partnered with multiple businesses for a Community Cares Walk that raised over $12,000 for local food pantries.
