WIPA extends condolences on the passing of Clarvis Joseph Spread the love KINGSTON, Jamaica – The West Indies Players’ Association’s executive, management and staff extends condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) President, Clarvis Joseph, who died on February 21. “Mr Joseph was reportedly ailing for some time and in hospital. Among other things, Mr Joseph also served as Leeward Islands Cricket Association (LICA) President, Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association (ACA) President and WICB (now Cricket West Indies (CWI)) Vice-President. He was subsequently the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award at the CWI/WIPA Awards in 2016 for his contribution to cricket in the region,” WIPA said in a release.

Eagles, Jennings, Lions, Nation To Battle In Super 40 Semis Spread the love By Neto Baptiste CUB Bethesda Golden Eagles, Jennings, Anderson Carty Empire Nation and New Winthorpes Lions have all advanced to the semifinals of the State Insurance Corporation Super 40 Competition being hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association (ABCA). The top four were decided following Saturday’s final round of preliminary matches which saw Golden Eagles topping the standings with 30 points. They were following closely by Jennings on 26 points in the number two slot while Empire Nation and New Winthorpes Lions each had 24 points in third and fourth respectively.
