Waimakariri castle good to go with engineer s report

Ray White Their dreams were real, but the owners of this castle project in Waimakariri cannot finish it, so they have listed it for sale. Their castle dream ended after more than a decade of work, but now the owners of this half-completed home in North Canterbury can move ahead with their sale. An auction originally planned for January was put on hold awaiting the supply of an engineer’s report, says listing agent Barbara Redway of Ray White Morris & Co Real Estate. The “as is, where is” property, which has no Code Compliance Certificate or insurance, now has an engineer’s report available for purchasers. As Redway says in the listing: “Engineer’s report done, council happy, let’s go! New increased optimism, new auction date and new horizons for eventual purchaser.”

Castle dream ended after 10 years work; reluctant owners list it as is, where is

RAY WHITE Potential buyers to the castle are not permitted to enter without the listing agent present, due to health and safety concerns. Redway says the decision to sell has not been taken lightly: “They were so passionate about their vision.” Because of the state of the building, and health and safety concerns, potential buyers must be accompanied by the listing agent when they view the property. Not that it has stopped visitors. Redway says they had 70 people turn up for the first open home last weekend. “Some people were just there to have a look, but some were serious.”
