Stonington ― After more than 8 years with the town, Barbara McKrell has resigned as director of public works.
In an email to town employees on Monday, First Selectman Danielle Chesebrough said McKrell.
Stonington Even though by contract the town has the right to discipline or discharge public works employees for just cause, town officials said Thursday they did not punish workers seen in surveilla.
