Municipal races
While no city or county positions were up for reelection on Tuesday, some villages and towns had important local races, some with sweeping changes.
The town of Wausau will have a new chairperson, with Matthew Lee Baer beating out incumbent John Prahl with 56% of the vote, totaling 372 versus Prahl s 295.
Incumbents Barbara Ermeling and Nate Fiene will remain on the Weston Village Board and welcome newcomer Hooshang Zeyghami, who narrowly beat out incumbent Jon Ziegler by 11 votes, according to unofficial results
George Peterson will remain Rothschild village president, after receiving 483 votes compared with opponent Ken Merritt s 223 votes.
