Prolific is just one adjective that perfectly describes painter Joe Lombardo.
At the moment, Art Access Gallery in Bexley is practically bursting at the seams with his atmospheric, colorful landscapes more than 100 of them, all created in the past year. And this is the second consecutive year that gallery owner Barb Unverferth has presented a show of 100 or more Lombardo paintings made in one calendar year.
“He’s got more energy than just about anyone I know,” Unverferth said. “He paints all the time. He’s one of the hardest-working artists I’ve ever seen.”
Lombardo, 37, not only managed to put together paintings for the Art Access show, but he also has another show of new works running simultaneously in a Michigan gallery.
