PAULDING – A surprise decision about the municipal swimming pool topped Paulding Village Council’s agenda Monday, April 19.
Councilwoman
Lois Beamer reported the park and recreation committee met with a pool
company representative who told them the pool bottom, which was repaired
in 2019, needs repaired again.
However, another pool consultant
instead proposed “a more permanent solution.” The committee recommends
not opening the pool this year, exploring the proposed repairs and
reopening for the 2022 season.
Councilwoman Barb Rife asked if the
committee has decided not to open this year. Beamer responded the pool
needs too many repairs, plus the village hasn’t been able to hire enough
