News Briefs: Oak Harbor Masons to hold chicken barbecue Staff reports Oak Harbor Masons to hold chicken barbecue OAK HARBOR - The Oak Harbor Masonic Lodge No. 495 19th annual chicken barbecue fundraiser is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 25. Proceeds go toward the annual college scholarship offered by the lodge to a graduating Oak Harbor High School senior. The barbecue will be held at the shelter house at Veterans Memorial Park. Dinners will be served as carry-out only. The cost will be $10 and include a half chicken, baked potato, green beans, roll, butter and brownie.  The meal will be prepared by Bar-B-Que Traveler, Lacarne.

Ottawa County: Grants aim to help businesses through pandemic Published by news@presspubli. on Fri, 12/25/2020 - 4:00pm By:  Twenty-three small businesses in Ottawa County are receiving grants through a regional incubator program. The Ottawa County Improvement Corp. in October launched the program to support small companies with special consideration for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Regional Incubator for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship (RISE) innovation grant program is providing $61,985 to the businesses. The program is a collaborative initiative of the OCIC and the Ottawa County Community Foundation and is made possible by a grant from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
