COVID-19: Vaccines offered to Ridgewood high school students

WEST LAFAYETTE - With the assistance of the Muskingum Valley Health Center, Ridgewood High School offered students the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19 without leaving the campus.
A clinic was held at the high school on Thursday for students age 16 and older. School nurse Barb Bond coordinated the event with staff from MVHC to give students their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Vaccinators were on hand to answer questions, address concerns and help students with the vaccination process from filling out forms to monitoring for reactions.
“It was big sacrifice for the kids, because many of them don t like needles,” said Mike Masloski, superintendent of the Ridgewood Local School District, adding that the school nurse and members of the MVHC helped the kids through it.
