Police said around 16 kilos of shabu were seized from Kevin “Taba” Manisi and Abdulrahman “Indeg” Ysmael, both residents of Taguig City.
Initial investigation showed that around 9:40 p.m., an undercover policeman transacted with Manisi and Ysmael inside their parked car on Kalayaan Avenue in Barangay West Rembo, Makati.
After receiving the marked money, other policemen apprehended the suspects.
Investigators said some of the suspected shabu they seized was placed inside Chinese tea bags.
The Makati Police said the estimated street value of the 16 kilos of shabu is around P108,800,000.
The suspected drug peddlers are now under the custody of the Makati Police.

Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said the confiscated shabu were packed in tea bags, each containing one kilo and with a street value of P108 million in total.
He identified those arrested as Kemin Manisi, 49; and, Abdulrahim Ysmael, 28. Both are residents of Cagayan de Oro City.
Sinas said the buy-bust occurred after operatives of the Makati City drug enforcement unit were able to convince the suspects to sell shabu for P1 million in Barangay West Rembo in Makati City at 9:45 p.m. on Monday.
Seized from them were 16 pieces of tea bags containing shabu, several cellular phones, various identification cards, a Sports Utility Vehicle and the boodle money.
