BACOLOD CITY – The City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported an 80 percent increase in leptospirosis cases in 2022.
Dr. Grace Tan, CESU head, said 45 cases, including 11 deaths, were recorded last year, compared to the 25 cases with six deaths in 2021.
