The death toll on typhoon ‘Bising’ rose to three on Wednesday, April 21, after a 19-year-old girl died after she was hit by an uprooted tree in Hagonoy, Davao del Sur.
Ricardo Jalad, executive director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), said the latest fatality was among the three people who were hit by an uprooted tree that eventually fell on their house on April 18 in Barangay Sacub in Hagonoy town. The incident was only confirmed on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the NDRRMC confirmed the death of two people in Eastern Visayas.
The two other companions of the 19-year old fatality were among the 10 injured victims on the list of the NDRRMC, according to Jalad.
