LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: As a result of Gov. Ramon Guico 3rd s order for the stricter imposition of extraction fees in the different quarry areas of Pangasinan, a village traversed by the Agno River in Tayug town is now collecting at least P800,000 a month as its share from the quarry fees.

PANGASINAN - Two flood control projects have been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Pangasinan Third District Engineering Office here to address the problem of flooding in the area.

District Engineer George DC. Santos said the projects are expected to protect the lives and properties of residents living near the river and in the low-lying areas of the barangays from the damaging effects of flood.
The projects included the construction of protective dikes along the riverbanks.
