CEBU CITY Six families lost their homes an hour after celebrating noche Buena when a fire hit a residential area in Barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City.
The fire broke out in Sitio Nangka at 1:08 a.m. Friday, December 25. It took an hour before firefighters were able to put out the flames.
Senior Fire Officer Noel Codilla of the Mandaue City Fire Department said the firefighters had a hard time putting out the fire because of the narrow road leading to the fire scene.
The fire started at the house owned by Conchita Heralde.
The cause of fire was not immediately known.
