is nbc news correspondent kaurtony kube. bring us up to date on what more you know here. reporter: they re all lower-ranking junior enlisted marines. and this all stemmed from actually the arrest of two marines earlier this month also from camp pendleton who were accused of human smuggle. these marines didn t bring migrants across the border from mexico. they were moving them once they were inside the united states they were arrested for that and charged earlier this month. as part that far investigation ncis then uncovered these additional 16 marines who are now charged with a combination of human smuggling or involvement in that or potentially drug-related offenses or a combination of both things. so as you mentioned, yasmin, they were at formation this morning, and the 16 marines were pulled out by ncis agents and arrested. they then tossed the baracks and
