The Associated Press is reporting the JoeBama administration is planning to use the Dallas Convention Center to house illegal border crossers. Within the AP article you might note the following claim: “
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Saturday directed the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help manage and care for children crossing the border.” However, due to the implications of the admission, Joe Biden has
not declared a federal emergency…. that means any FEMA activation is moot.
In order for FEMA to carry out action their first mandate requires the issuance of a federal declaration of a national emergency. As of this morning JoeBama has not made that federal declaration, so the stories of the FEMA activation are essentially useless.

Driving the news: In the week ending March 1, the Border Patrol referred to HHS custody an average of 321 children per day, according to documents obtained by Axios. That’s up from a weekly average of 203 in late January and early February and just 47 per day during the first week of January (read more).

Retiring GABC pastor reflects on ministry, plans to continue even away from pulpit

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - About a year ago Pastor David Dykes at Green Acres Baptist Church began conversations about retirement and when a good time would be. He recently announced that he’ll be retiring on August 31, 2021.
On March 1, Pastor David Dykes marked 30 years of preaching, teaching, and leading Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler. In all this time, Dykes says some of the moments that stand out most are from mission projects.

TYLER, Texas On Sunday, February 28, Dr. David Orlo Dykes, Senior Pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church for the past 30 years, announced his plans to retire on August 31, 2021. The time has come for younger leadership to step up and lead the church into the future, Dykes said in a video on Facebook. Franky, I believe some pastors try to hang on too long.
Dykes has been pastor of Green Acres since March of 1991 and in the 66-year history of Green Acres, is the longest-serving pastor and the first to retire.
“I love Tyler and Green Acres, Dykes said. I’m praying that the church will find my replacement before I retire so there will be a seamless transition to the next pastor. I am looking forward to handing the baton to the next generation of younger leadership.”
