A headstone for Civil War vet

A headstone for Civil War vet | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS By Bill Buell | Julie Mountain and Civil War reenactor Rich Talay uncover a headstone for Civil War veteran Pvt. David Mountain, as Julie’s sister Jennifer Mountain watches. A ceremony was held Friday to honor the Mountain sisters’ great-great-grandfather at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady. Shares0 SCHENECTADY – A soft, misty rain fell throughout the morning Friday at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, gently washing away 128 years of unfinished family business for Julie and Jennifer Mountain. The event turned into quite an occasion as various Civil War groups made up of reenactors and “living historians,” brought together by Schenectady City Historian
