don t like it. but we live in fraught times. and frankly speaking when you look around the world these days, i think this is the least of it. it s not a bilateral deal between the united states and iran. there are other countries involved. could iran stay in the deal if america decides to pull out? well, i think the iranians have said it bess, they will take another look and see if that s possible. obviously, the banking sanctions get very complicated because u.s. banks get involved in every which way. and so it is i think it would be very complex and very difficult. i would like to hear from the president. i would like to hear from people who agree with him on why we would be better off getting out of it, and how we would be able to put back sanctions when we re one of many countries. you know, it s one thing to have brought the iranians to the table. but trying to bring them to their knees i m not sure we have the capacity to do that.

mike: tom, changing the behavior? i think tom bossert and senator cardin are both wrong. as michael suggests, we have not pushed the chinese. this will not change until he pushed the chinese. because the chinese expectations, and senator cardin doesn t seem to get it. i don t know what he s doing on the foreign relations committee. the chinese want the united states in a position of relative weakness and discomfort in the region. north korea at the moment is not such a big deal for them. because what s the harm if there s a flow of refugees? the chinese don t have a terrible disposition in terms of concern about the issues. the united states, yes i think we have to do the banking sanctions. i think we also have to do the kind of thing we slightly have done on counterterrorism, bring down bank services that activists cut outs, mess around with the covert actions. the trump administration needs to double down in terms of
marshaling military resources. i think it s clear from the rhetoric that there s a credible threat of force. i hope we don t have to use that but if you don t have that, then north korea is not going to listen to you. i think it s great for them tripping on the sidelines. they ve given the president this mess. he is trying to deal with it. shannon: part of that, rebecca, is now dealing with china. he has very different take on china than they did during the campaign. now they have to work together. want to play a little bit of how he described china when he was on the campaign trail, hoping to become president. we can t continue to allow china to rape our country. that s what they are doing. shannon: now today we saw moments ago he is praising them for the things they ve done to try to help corral north korea. publicly saying the banking
