Re: Palestinians remain holed up in internment, not refugee , camps – Middle East Monitor | | #1 NEWS SOURCE FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR ON EARTH !!!!!

The saga of the refugees that never were. After 1948 the Arabs either remained in Israel or fled to what became the West Bank or Jordan. All these territories were in fact part of historic Palestine and that includes Gaza. They may have been displaced or internal refugees but certainly not refugees in the true meaning of that word. You have refugee camps in Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem that were governed by Jordan until 1967 . But all this was still part of pre 1948 Palestine. They now live under the PA, so how does that make them refugees. When you look at the history of refugees you have Germans expelled from France, Poland, Czechoslovalia- Pakistanis and Indians expelled from each other territory- Royhingas expelled to Bangladesh and that is only recent history . Do you even hear them being called refugees anymore. Most importantly the Jewish refugees from Arab countries resettled in Israel. Source link
