Women s leadership imperative for facing adverse impact of COVID-19: Bangladesh Speaker
Dhaka, Mar 8 (UNI) Speaker of Bangladesh Jatiyo Sangsad Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury has said that women s leadership is important for facing the challenge posed by Coronavirus pandemic. Women are powerful and effective representative of change. Collective effort is needed to ensure more female leadership for safe and peaceful future , she said, calling for coordination between global reaction and local experiences in this regard.
The Speaker said this while addressing a discussion titled “Women in leadership: what does it take” at Bangabandhu International Centre in the capital today.
United Nations Bangladesh had organized the event.
