Kings face Baridhara in BPL second phase opener

Table-toppers Bashundhara Kings will take on Uttar Baridhara Club in the opening match of the second phase of Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital on Friday.
The match is scheduled to start at 04:00pm and will be telecast live on T Sports Digital (Youtube and Facebook).
Kings remained undefeated in the first leg and they are on top in the points table with 34 points from 12 matches with 11 wins and one draw and also eight points ahead of second-placed Sheikh Jamal DC.
BFF postpones all domestic leagues

Bangladesh Football Federation on Sunday halted all the ongoing domestic leagues as the Bangladesh government has declared a seven-day lockdown across the country for the time being to tackle the spread of coronavirus, starting today.
The second phase of the premier league and championship league, women s football league and third division league are temporarily postponed until April 11.
Only two events men and women football of the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games will continue as Bangladesh Olympic Association has decided to continue the Games as per government instructions.
“We will resume these leagues after a seven-day break after the lockdown. We have already informed all the participating teams of these leagues. Only two leagues of Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games will continue as per as Olympic Association s instruction and under the strict health measures,” BFF general secretary Md
BFF refuses Oman, Qatar’s proposal

Bangladesh Football Federation on Wednesday refused Oman and Qatar’s offers to play their next three FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers return-leg matches at a central venue.
Bangladesh have three home games left in their Group E fixtures of the FIFA-AFC qualifiers against Afghanistan, India and Oman respectively on March 25, June 7 and 15 as per FIFA schedule.
Oman proposed Bangladesh to play all the three matches in Oman on March 24, 27 and 30 while Qatar supported Oman’s proposal and even agreed to host those matches if Oman fails in case.
