At least 37 people died in Bangladesh on Friday after an overloaded night ferry caught fire, according to authorities, as scared passengers jumped overboard to escape the flames.
“The Government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives in a ferry accident in Jhalakathi district in Bangladesh,” said a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Friday.
