As the vice president of Women’s Students’ Union, I was responsible for organising female students. I sent some of them to girls’ schools to bring the girls to the meeting at Amtala [February 21, 1952].
In 1952, I was the editor of Sainik. I used to live in 19, Azimpur with Mr [Principal Abul] Kashem. I was present at the meeting of the All-party State Language Action Committee in Nawabpur [February 20, 1952]. The meeting decided not to violate section 144.
The medical college hostel was the de facto control room of the language movement from February 21-24, 1952. Gaziul Haque, Shahidullah Kaiser, Oli Ahad, Kazi Golam Mahbub joined several meetings at the hostel.
The preparation for strike on February 21, 1952 was going on for several days. Every day, I went to girls’ schools, particularly Kamrunnesa, Banglabazar and Muslim Girls School, to organise them.
