The Finance Ministry expects 10 million people to register for its latest relief effort through a new app.
As of Saturday, about 7 million people had registered with the government s Rao Chana ( We Win ) economic relief app, Kulaya Tantitemit, the acting director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said. The rate of sign-ups will slow down now that most people appear to have done so early on. We expect 10 million to have registered using the app by the end of Feb 12, the last day for on-line registration, she said.
After on-line registration, an in-person process will commence on Feb 15 at designated state banks.

Most people want to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, according to a public opinion survey by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
A total of 724 people were surveyed from Monday to Friday to determine if members of the public want to be inoculated against Covid-19 when a vaccine is available in Thailand.
A total of 68.9% of respondents expressed their desire to be vaccinated, while 15.2% said they weren t sure. A total of 8.8% of respondents said they had no opinion, while 5.2% said they were certain they would not want to be injected with a vaccine.
