BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Chiang Mai and Bangkok ranked as the second and fourth most polluted cities in the world respectively on Tuesday (April 18), according to air-quality monitoring website IQAir.
Most of Bangkok was covered in a haze of hazardous air as of 7am on Monday, with 67 air-quality monitoring stations reporting high levels of PM2.5 pollution.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is on high alert to adopt measures to stem air pollution as the level of PM2.5 fine dust in the capital is rising at an alarming pace.
