The residents and those who visit the lake are urging the Zonal Commissioner to prioritise developmental works to preserve the lake and prevent any health issues for people residing in the vicinity of the water body. Residents are specifically demanding the removal of the idol immersion pond, which has become a health hazard. The people visiting the lake for walks in the morning and evening are finding it difficult to cope with bad odour emanating from the defunct pond that is filled with garbage and weeds.
A senior police official said, “ASTraM is a smart traffic engine which provides holistic insights on road traffic scenarios for Bengaluru.
