Karnataka has appointed Dr Manoj Ranjan, Commissioner of Disaster Management Authority, as nodal officer to co-coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India in Ukraine for the safe return of stranded people.
The Karnataka government has taken a decision to relax Covid-19 curbs across the state. There will be no night curfew in the state from January 31, while all schools in Bengaluru have been allowed to start offline classes from Monday.
Karnataka saw more than 30,000 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours. So far, Karnataka has seen 31,86,040 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
