DHAKA, Mar 7, 2021 (BSS) – Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 this morning.
“The Historic March 7 is important and momentous for the Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, the undisputed leader of the Bengali nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman turned an unarmed nation to an armed one for waging for independence, with his historical speech,” he said this while paying homage to Bangabandhu, said a press release.
“As a result of Bangabandhu’s earth shattering epic , delivered on March 7, we achieved our desired independence through the great war of liberation,” he added.
Remain alert against communal, fundamentalist forces: DSCC Mayor Taposh

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh urged everyone to remain alert until the communal, fundamentalist forces are completely wiped out.
“We have seen that the communal, fundamentalist forces are active and when they get any chance, they bite people like serpents. They also tried to destroy the spirit of the Liberation War,” he said while talking to reporters after paying tribute to the Martyred Intellectuals in Mirpur.
Taposh, also the member secretary of Bangabandhu Awami Bar Council, said, We have achieved freedom in exchange for the supreme sacrifices of three million martyrs including martyred intellectuals. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has come forward and it has set an example by building Padma Multipurpose Bridge with its own funding.”
Taposh to remain vigil until communal fundamentalist forces eradicated completely

DHAKA, Dec 14, 2020 (BSS) – Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Member Secretary of Bangabandhu Awami Bar Council, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, today urged the people to remain vigilant till the communal and fundamentalist forces are completely eradicated from Bangladesh.
He made the call while talking to reporters after paying homage to the martyred intellectuals at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial on the first morning of Martyred Intellectuals Day today (Monday), said a release.
He said, “We notice that fundamentalist reactionary forces, communal forces are still present in the soil of Bengal and whenever they get a chance, they are trying to bite like snakes and trying to destroy the consciousness of the liberation war.”
