Brian Hooks Opens Free Filmmaking Program for Inner City Youth

Prolific actor and director Brian Hooks is known for his animated comedic performances; be that as it may, his recent off-screen efforts have led to a new philanthropic journey outside of the spotlight.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Hooks launched a production company called Left of Bang Entertainment (LOBE). Aside from producing in-house films, LOBE will provide free educational programs and mentorship opportunities for inner-city kids.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Mozambique, Eldevina Materula, has addressed a message of condolences to the family of the famous businessman and show promoter Adelson Mourinho, who died on Monday.
“We lost a man who did a lot to promote Mozambican music. In my personal name, on behalf of the institution’s employees and all the makers of arts and culture, we address the most heartfelt condolences to the family,” the minister said in a message shared on the Ministry’s Facebook page. The owner of Bang Entertainment and the private television channel Strong Live, died in South Africa, where he had been in intensive care for an unspecified illness since August.
