The new Special Investigation Team (SIT), set up by the Supreme Court to probe the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in which four farmers were mowed down by an SUV on October 3, has started working. "The SIT team probing the October 3 violence has got some photos and videos. We are releasing photographs and appeal to people to identify them," an SIT official said.
The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday apprehended four more persons, including a BJP worker, over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, taking the number of arrests in the episode to 10, said officials.
