PGC launches 2021 Dangal ng Lahing Cagayano Awards

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, May 1 (PIA) - - The Provincial Government of Cagayan is launching the 4th Dangal ng Lahing Cagayano Awards this year as a platform for inspiration among Cagayanos to rise above challenges amidst the pandemic. The Dangal ng Lahing Cagayano is a prestigious award for Cagayano achievers, which aims to recognize outstanding, exemplary and distinguished Cagayanos who have made a name not only in the province, but also in the national and international arena; contributing in the progress and development of communities and in nation-building. The awards started in 2017 as part of the founding anniversary of civil government of the province or the Aggao Nac Cagayan celebrations.

Winners of PH Startup Incubator Awards bared Share on email The Department of Science and Technology and QBO Innovation Hub recently rewarded top-performing Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) that have demonstrated outstanding capabilities and produced impactful programs and startups during the TBI 4.0 Program. The TBI 4.0 program, funded by the DOST’s Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) and led by QBO Innovation Hub, aims to develop world-class TBIs and incubator managers and increase the number of quality tech startups in the Philippines. The program, which was initiated in 2019, also elevated the capacity and services of the 12 DOST-supported TBIs from all over the country, many of which were affiliated with local universities. The 12 TBIs and their partner universities consist of:

IPOPHL partners with AIM Dado Banatao Incubator to sustain local start up growth

MAKATI, Jan. 20  In a bid to spur the growth of local startups, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) signed on Dec. 10, 2020 a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) to scale up the intellectual property (IP) management skills of local startups trained under the world-class AIM Dado Banatao Incubator (AIM-DBI) Program.  Under the MOA, IPOPHL will expand AIM-DBI startups’ technical knowledge on IP through a series of workshops and skills training.   IPOPHL Director General Rowel S. Barba touted the deal with AIM as a “watershed event” for the local startup community which has been experiencing exponential growth in funding in recent years and even during the pandemic.
