Bless my parents they are in their 70s and are trying but computer problems continue and no one is nearby to pop in to reset anything. Helping from Texas? Impractical.

Sometimes you get to do some fun stuff with this job. Well, honestly, it is always pretty much fun. But on Fridays, we do a feature called Pet Of The Week where we have the animal shelter from San Marcos or Georgetown come in and bring a dog for adoption. Without a doubt, just the cutest dogs you have ever seen. They are all older dogs and they have all been so sweet and loving. If you don t have a dog, please go and get one and check out the older guys cause they are usually housebroken and so sweet and just waiting for someone to love.

Today, my son walked across the stage with his friends in the class of 2021. Had you asked me even six years ago if that was possible, I’d have chuckled at you.
Going back to early 2007, when he first started in Austin ISD, he was non-verbal. He was diagnosed with Autism at 3. He could recite entire TV shows that he liked, but basic back and forth conversation? Nope.
He worked with speech therapists, his amazing team of teachers and aides. He began to use pictures to tell us what he wanted, and slowly turned that into language.
Special thanks to Principal John Rocha, his principal at Menchaca Elementary and at Bailey Middle School. That man was such a blessing to our family.
