Well have messed up jobs reports for next few months because the one that comes out in november will deal with the shutdown when we had these people off the payroll, back on the payroll. 0 it s jobs report tuesday. that s right, the september numbers are nearly a month late thanks to the government shutdown but i guess late is better than never. a net gain of 148,000 jobs in september. 91,000 workers gave up hope of finding a job. those two factors combined drove the unemployment rate down to 7.2%. the good news is in the revisions while july numbers were revised down, ago numbers were revised up. together it means 9,000 more jobs were created than previously reported. one job not looking so secure is congress, 66% of americans in the new washington post poll are inclined not to reelect their representative to another term. a lot of that anger is aimed at republicans. the republicans shutdown jobs killer. are you seeing that in the jobs number? it depends. if you want to see that in the jobs numbers, i m sure you could find a statistic. there it is, i found it. the job numbers only go up to the end of september and the surveys are in the middle of september bef
