Jattana's assassination of two Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal officials resulted in the project work halting in July 1990. His name is in the limelight again because of a posthumous Sidhu Moosewala song.
Borrowing its name from the Sutlej Yamuna Link project, Moosewala's posthumous release focuses on several issues that Punjab has faces, including water scarcity, Sikh prisoners being wrongfully kept in custody, and more. It had 22 million views in three days.
Sidhu Moosewala’s latest song SYL, the first to be released after his death, has been removed from YouTube. The song highlights various issues such as undivided Punjab, 1984 Sikh Riots, farmer laws, Sikh flag hoisting at the Red Fort during the farmer agitation and Sikh militants.
