MILFORD Police Chief Michael Pighetti is on paid leave, pending the results of an investigation, according to local officials. The board received a complaint regarding the police chief, Michael Pighetti, Select Board Chairman William Kingkade Jr. said during Monday night s board meeting. It was decided by the board to bring in a third party to investigate the incident.
It s unclear what the incident was or how long the investigation will take, but Kingkade said Pighetti will be on paid leave until the investigation report comes back.
Lt. James Falvey will serve as acting police chief in the meantime. I want to assure the public that everything is fine, Select Board member Michael Walsh said Tuesday morning, adding that he couldn t yet provide details. Everything is fine.
