A convoy of trucks has been making its way into the Washington, D.C., area this week to deliver wreaths that will be placed on the graves of veterans this weekend.
Wreaths Across America, the year-long effort to honor those who have died in armed conflicts, was affected by the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19.
However, the effort was still able to acquire enough donations to have about 1.8 million wreaths placed at 2,525 locations across the country. In past years, the general public has been a part of the distribution process. This year, those interested are urged to go to the Wreaths A
