th Session of the Baltic Assembly and the 17 th Baltic Council took place in Tallinn (Estonia). The 30 th Session of the Baltic Assembly was an occasion to mark the 20 th anniversary of the Baltic Assembly – the fruitful parliamentary cooperation between the Baltic States since 8 November 1991. The 30 th Session of the Baltic Assembly and the 17 th Baltic Council concentrated on three topical subjects. During the previous and the current year the Baltic Assembly, by initiation of the Social Affairs Committee, together with national governments had thoroughly scrutinized the issue of developing joint, high-quality and cost-effective health care projects in the Baltic States. th Session of the Baltic Assembly and the 16 th Baltic Council took place in Riga (Latvia). The two main topics of the Session were joint health care projects in the Baltic States and safe society and the quality of life. Alongside the Session of the Baltic Assembly, the 16 th Baltic Council, a cooperation platform for parliaments and governments, was convened. Baltic Innovation Prize

The Baltic Innovation Prize is established by the Baltic Assembly and the Baltic Association of Science/Technology Parks and Innovation Centres. Regulations on the Baltic Innovation Prize were adopted on 22 October 2010. The Baltic Innovation Prize is an annual prize awarded to the most innovative company (enterprise) in the Baltic States in order to demonstrate the mutual interest of the Baltic States to support implementation of outstanding achievements in innovation and new technologies, as well as to strengthen the cooperation of the Baltic States in innovation and technological development. The goal of the Baltic Innovation Prize is to recognise and hold up as an example the Baltic entrepreneurs who have implemented new economically successful developments in their product(s), service(s) or business model(s).
